Happy New Year

We ended 2011 in the company of 4,000 Sandhill Cranes.  These magnificent birds are 4 feet tall and have a wingspan of 6-7 feet.  At dusk they all fly into the Pixley Wildlife Refuge to rest.  That was a beautiful way to end the year.
